MOBAC - Mobile Atlas Creator - Creates maps from online sources.
This page gives hints on how to configure MOBAC to create maps for use with OziExplorer.
After making the settings it is advised to do some experiments with small areas and test the created map.
Use the right mouse button to drag the map.
The left mouse button draws a rectangle to select the area for the map you want to create.
Atlas Content
Clear - clears the content of the queued maps list.
Add selection - Adds the selection rectangle drawn on the map to the list for creation.
You need to give the atlas a name - enter the name into the name field before you "Clear" and then before you "Add selection" - different names if needed.
To create the map(s) press the "Create Atlas" button.
Map Source
Select the Map source you want to use.
Zoom Levels
Tick the zoom levels of the maps you want created - usually only one is needed.
Atlas Settings
Format - OziExplorer (PNG & MAP)
Settings - Button towards bottom of left window.
This will open a tabbed dialog.
Map Size Tab
Map Size - Specify the size as 10000 or less - this is critical, leaving the default will not allow the maps to open in OziExplorer.
Directories Tab
Atlas Output Directory - specify a suitable folder to store the created maps.
It is possible to use the OziExplorer Map Merge program to merge all the individual maps together if desired.
